Danielle Bélec-Van Zeyl
 
 

Danielle Bélec-Van Zeyl is the Director of Second
Wind Pilates Plus®. She is a Certified Pilates Instructor,
Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst® (CMA),
I.S.M.E.T.A. – Registered Movement Therapist®, founder
of Integrated Movement Therapies (IMT)® and creator
of Second Wind’s Teacher-Training Certification School.
Danielle brings her fifteen year career as a professional
dancer and choreographer to her work having danced
with three of Canada’s foremost companies. She holds a
Master of Arts in Movement Education and Dance, and
loves yoga, cycling and climbing.

Danielle began her training in The Pilates Method in
1985 at The Alan Herdman Studio in London, England
while performing as a contemporary dance artist and
training in Europe with the assistance of an Ontario Arts
Grant. Danielle later received a Canada Council Grant
to study at the Jean Claude West Studio in NYC (now
located in California). When her performance career
ended, she became certified in The Pilates Method first
through the Stott Studio in Toronto and later at Body
Harmonics. Danielle has also studied with Diane Miller
(Vancouver).
